Six Phenomenal French Skincare Brands You Must Try!

While skincare has always been a pretty popular practice, more and more people are turning their attention, and their dollars, to new skincare products.

French skincare products are all the rage. They are popular because they are typically very easy to use, and their formulas feel great to everyone. However, French skincare is, well, foreign to many people living in the U.S. and in other countries around the world.

In this post, you’ll learn about six amazing skincare brands that originated in France and some of the most popular and best products from those brands:

This 270-year-old brand has the trust of millions of people around the world. The formulas are made with natural print water, which has been found to have soothing and calming effects on the skin.

The brand gets its name from the city where thermal springs were found. The waters from this spring were said to bring shine back to dull horse coats and cure skin diseases. The skincare line wasn’t produced until 1990 but, when it was, it used the water from the thermal spring as a key ingredient.

As for the best products from this brand, there are several. The most interesting is a sprayable Avène Thermal Spring Water, available for $19. It can be used to reduce skin irritation and provide moisture to dry skin. Many people use it to refresh themselves during the day, add a healthy glow, or to set their makeup.

The brand’s cleansing oil ($31) is perfect for soothing skin irritation and great for skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and more. Lastly, the brand’s Skin Recovery Cream ($35) is infused with shea butter and mingled with amino acids and the thermal spring water to soften dry skin!

This brand’s story began at Château Smith Haut Lafitte, the parents of one of the founders of the brand, Mathilde. In 1993, the founders of the brand met with a pharmacy professor who told them that grape seeds are packed with antioxidants. After their initial discussion, the first three products were launched in 1995.

The brand’s name is a wine term that refer back to a measurement for the time a wines flavor lingers on the palate.

Some of the notable products include an essential-oil infused beauty elixir ($49) made from rosemary, mint, and rose; the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum ($79), made from grapevine sap and can be used to fade acne scarring, sunspots, and pigmentation; and the Primer Cru Eye Cream ($99), which targets dark spots under the eyes for a flawless look!

Collosol Eau de Lait was created in Paris in the 1950s. A Parisian pharmacist created the first product from milk, water, and fragrance. It was used to remove makeup and, for popular actresses, to eliminate signs of fatigue follower performances.

The products from Collosol can be used in the bath or during cleansing routines. Perhaps the most notable product from the collection is the Collosol Eau de Lait. For only $18, users can remove their makeup without stripping their skin of natural, healthy oils. The product reduces irritation and redness.

A dermatologist in a Parisian hospital is responsible for birthing this brand in 1950. The self-proclaimed “backstage favorite,” this brand boasts that many famous runways, theatre productions, and concerts employ the use of Embryolisse products.

Primary ingredients usually include natural flower and fruit extractions and other active ingredients. These products are created with the supervision of pharmacists and tested by dermatologists.

One of the stand-out products include the Crème Anti-Age Global ($90), which is hydrating, plumping, and used to reverse the signs of aging. The brand’s more modestly priced Lait- Crème Concentrate ($16) is packed with soy proteins and shea butter. It will leave the wearer’s skin glowing!

Lastly, the brand also has a Masque-Crème Hydrant available for $35. This product uses vitamins A, E, and F along with beeswax, sesame oils, and sweet almond.

All of this brand’s products are made in France and include natural ingredients made from different flowers like the passionflower, daylily, and the orange blossom. This company in particular strives to make an eco-friendly product from the packaging to the way ingredients are harvested. The brand also doesn’t use animal products or test on animals!

From this brand, many great products have emerged. One of the most well-known products is the $55 Huile Prodigieuse Shimmering Dry Oil. This oil is made from argan, borage, almond, hazelnut, and macadamia oils. The ingredients work together to hydrate the wearer without the greasy feeling of oil on their skin. It also provides a shimmering glow to whoever uses it!

Another product includes the Crème Fraiche de Beaute. This cream ($35), is made with plant milks and aloe vera to moisturize and hydrate the skin while also fading fine lines and plumping the skin to provide a healthy look.

Lastly, this brand also has the $16 Reve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm that can be used to soothe chapped lips using honey and botanical oils. This product is the perfect way to calm irritation on the lips with a natural and luxurious product!

The Talika brand came alive in 1948. Not much other information was readily available about this brand, but it does boast a few amazing products that are worth noting.

To begin, the $49 Talika Eye Therapy Patch is a reusable patch for the under eyes that is gentle on the sensitive skin under your eyes. It works hard, though, to repair wrinkles and reduce dark circles and puffiness.

Another great product is the Bio Enzymes Purifying Mask. For $12, this mask packs a powerful punch! It is made of natural antibacterial botanicals, bamboo stem cells, vitamin E, and more, all to protect and improve your complexion!

Lastly from this brand is the Eyelash Conditioning Cream for $33. This cream softens the lashes and uses a mixture of ingredients like witch hazel, horse chestnut, nettle, allantoin, and more to promote follicle growth!

I want to write my bio, but I can't think of anything. So I'll write a novel instead.
